Global Competence & Education
"He who knows not the world, knows not his own place in it." ~ Marcus Aurelius

What: Global citizenship is not defined by how many borders we cross, but by how deeply we listen, adapt, and build bridges once we arrive.
Global competency is a set of skills engaging teachers and students in being aware of their place in and impact on the world around them, from their local neighborhoods to the ever shrinking world at large.
Why: In a time when students can connect to one another on any and every continent on the globe in a matter of seconds, it is increasingly important to develop, teach, and prepare future generations to be global citizens.
How: By engaging in global conversations, sharing resources and tools, and equipping educators and students to connect, comprehend, and communicate with empathy, flexibility, and curiosity.
